A brief profile

Enrique Azocar

Enrique is a British – Chilean born artist now living in Northumberland. He is a versatile artist and has established a reputation for producing high quality artwork in different medias for local, international exhibitions as well as private collections in the UK and abroad.

" I enjoy the process of making art, the development of an idea within the imagination and its workings into its physical form. I also like teaching and to see how each individual student develops when they are given the techiques and freedom to use their creative powers."

Enrique completed his MA in Fine Art at Northumbria University with a Distinction note, receiving a Fellowship in Painting from the same University, and he is a part-time lecturer at Durham University, Anthropology department.

He has worked in partnership with The Laing Art Gallery in supporting Educational Art Projects.

His Artwork is represented in London by Gray MCA.

He originally studied Fine Art Classic Techniques at Andrés Baldwin's Academia in Santiago, Chile, and afterwards studied drawing at Central St Martins College of Art & Design, London
